Back in March, NME reported that Peter Buck, guitarist for now-defunct  and beloved rock unit R.E.M., was working on a solo album. A constant collaborator, Buck has no shortage outlets for the jangle and crunch of his guitar, one of which being The Baseball Project with former Paisley Underground hero and Dream Syndicate main man, Steve Wynn. It was Wynn who, just yesterday, leaked a track from Buck’s as-yet-untitled forthcoming LP on WFMU show, Diane’s Kamikaze Fun Machine. The song is titled 10 Million BC and it’s about as good as modern garage rock can sound. Thanks to Consequence of Sound (via Slicing Up Eyeballs), you can hear the track below.
