Hot on the heels of news that the Melvins will undertake a tour of all 50 states (and D.C.) in 51 days later this year, word is that the west coast sludge unit will be playing a very intimate show on June 30th at NYC’s Lit Lounge.

Part of the Post Moral Neanderthal Retardist Pornography art show taking place at Lit’s neighbor, TT Underground, Melvins (in their "lite" trio form), along with fellow shredders Hammerhead, Gay Witch Abortion and Seawhores will cram themselves into Lit’s dungeon-like basement and perform for a few dozen lucky people. “How can I be one of those lucky people?” you ask. Well, don’t bother calling up your friend who’s brother once delivered pizza to King Buzzo, because there is no guest list. No, the only way to get into the gig is by dropping by Lit on Thursday, June 28th starting at 7pm ET and dropping 50 bucks on an super-limited 12” split on red vinyl with the Melvins on one side and Seawhores on the other.  The record is part of Amphetamine Reptile’s collector-friendly Melvins split series that, besides getting you in to the show, will surely fetch big money on eBay down the line should you ever need to scrounge up cash for bail.

If you want to see the show for free, there is an option. The entire show will be simulcast next door at TT Underground in real-time. So, while you’re checking out rare Melvins-related artwork and pieces by the likes of HAZE XXL, Math.i, Grant Hart and Junko Mizuno, you can listen to the bands and people next door having more fun than you.
