Mr. AOK is an anagram for Marko, who grew up on the fringes of Boston's hyper-local hip-hop and forward thinking dance scenes. This still influences his tastes, giving him a deep l-o-v-e and affection for rap but also making the function sweat. Since moving to New York, he has hosted a club music show on WNYU, worked with DIY label Famous Class and been one half of the rap podcast, Champale. He currently resides in Bedford-Stuyvesant and enjoys sampling all of the Asian Soups this city has to offer.
